Styles of Address
Amber's Army, at least, uses English-style ranks and forms of address. This Page may be helpful. In addition, the rank of 3rd Lt, or Ensign, is also used in play.
There is an element of the foreign and the surprising in Amber, after all. There may be equivalent ranks, animals that hold rank, and honorary ranks to smear the boundaries further. Rank should be used as an excuse for RP, not a boundary to it. Those who are not of Amber's Army may be given honorary ranks provided they will salute the King's Commission.
